A return to one of the best circuits in the UK for another double header of Locost Racing. Following on from the 3rd place at Brands Hatch, expectations were high, but a challenging weekend would ensue…Race 1 – Having qualified 11th overall, I was placed in Group B and would be racing in races 1 and 3. First race, placed 7th on the grid saw a good start, chasing Dave Boucher for 4th place around the Gosseneck and sliding up the inside before contact was made putting me out of the race.

Race 2 – Last race of the day saw me back on track this time starting from the pitlane side of the grid from 8th place. Again a good start, again battling with Dave Boucher for fourth place. A great battle ensued, until we were caught by Nick Selby and he attempted to pass Dave round the outside of Park Corner, running wide and spinning back onto the circuit. Unfortunately had to take to the grass to avoid contact, also resulting in a spin, stall, and then not being allowed to rejoin my the nearby marshalls until the coast was clear. Result – a disappointing 12th. Good things to take from the meeting – battling for fourth in both races and confident on any other circuit that isnt as narrow as Cadwell, it would be battling for third instead. Roll on Donington on the 23 & 24 June!
